The Capacity Project, in collaboration with the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control and UNAIDS, conducted a human resources for health (HRH) assessment in Vietnam, focusing on human resources management and coordination needs to respond appropriately to HIV-related health issues.

The Project worked with stakeholders in Vietnam, and introduced the HRH Action Framework as a component of the assessment methodology.

The Capacity Project’s activities included:

• Conducting focus group and key informant interviews with senior managers and executive staff
• Reviewing and analyzing interview data to help make recommendations for the assessment
• Identifying health sector areas with the greatest need for technical assistance and training in management and coordination.
