Capacity Project Associate Award Launched in Kenya Print

On June 30 at a ceremony in Nairobi, IntraHealth International in partnership with USAID and the Ministry of Health launched the Capacity Kenya Project, a Capacity Project Associate Award.

This five-year flagship human resources for health (HRH) project will provide support to the Ministry of Health, faith-based organizations and the private sector to initiate cutting-edge HRH interventions. Key activities include working with health sector leaders to strengthen HR planning; addressing the challenges facing health worker training and development; and improving worker productivity and retention.

The project will also help to improve PEPFAR and Global Fund grants performance, and support core technical advisors to government and faith-based organizations. Priority health areas include family planning and reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other infectious diseases.
