Capacity Project Finalizes Strategic Plans for Nursing and Midwifery Schools in Rwanda Print

Over the course of the past year, the Capacity Project has collaborated with the Rwanda Ministry of Health to develop individual comprehensive strategic plans for the Kibungo, Nyagatare, Byumba, Rwamagana and Kabgayi Nursing and Midwifery Schools.

In late May, Project staff held a workshop with directors from each of the schools to complete final drafts of the plans, which articulate a clear and succinct vision and strategic direction with implementation and monitoring and evaluation plans, resource requirements and projected costs that will ensure the schools function effectively and deliver high-quality education to health professionals.

In the coming months, the Project will work with the MOH to organize a meeting to disseminate the plans, which will then be formally endorsed and adopted by the schools.
