Over 100 Interviewed on Promising Practices in Strategic Information Print

The Capacity Project interviewed over 100 global, regional and national monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and strategic information (SI) experts and key informants who nominated over 150 promising initiatives to be considered for the Project’s promising practices collection.

The final collection, requested by OGAC’s SI technical working group, will present 20-25 model strategies in an easy-to-use guide, along with a summary analysis of lessons learned across case studies, to help donors and countries strengthen SI and M&E human resources to support a national HIV M&E system. The final product will also include a compendium of related project materials to support implementation of the promising practices.

The Project is using the HRH Action Framework (HAF) to guide case study selection covering all six of the HAF domains: education, leadership, partnership, finance, policy and human resources management. The collection is scheduled to be completed by September 2009.
