Resource Center Serves Health Workers in Southern Sudan Print

As part of the Capacity Project’s efforts to improve the Ministry of Health’s capacity to hire, train and manage a high quality workforce, the Juba Teaching Hospital Resource Center continues to increase users’ access to health information.

Opened in May 2008, the center is managed by the Capacity Project in collaboration with Juba Teaching Hospital.

From January to March, the center attracted 720 users including hospital staff, medical students and Ministry of Health staff, and received 45 new health information books, CDs and DVDs from donors. The center conducted a survey that showed users’ satisfaction with the current offerings, especially the Internet services and general library reading materials.
