Integrating Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission Services into Family Health Print

In January, Capacity Project/Ethiopia staff attended a workshop sponsored by the Ministry of Health and the National HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Office on integrating prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), maternal and neonatal health and family health services.

Eighteen participants, including the Project’s Dr. Bizunesh Tesfaye and Professor Reta Tilahun, were certified as master PMTCT trainer-of-trainers. The Project helped plan several of the sessions and contributed to the revised PMTCT implementation guide.

In addition, Project staff led presentations on the Mothers’ Support Group training manual and community programs.
