Leadership Program Strengthens Teamwork for Family Planning Print

From March 31 to June 27, the Capacity Project co-facilitated the Virtual Leadership Development Program for Family Planning Service Delivery Teams (VLDP FP), a rigorous 13-week blended-learning program.

Seven teams from Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda represented a mix of senior and junior technical advisors, managers and service delivery providers.

Six Capacity Project program managers from Ethiopia participated. “The training strengthened our ability to work as a team,” said Kidist Belete, PMTCT program manager. “The change management part of the training is very useful for staff like us who work in a very dynamic environment.” The VLDP FP supports the Project’s goal of strengthening the leadership skills of managers and teams delivering family planning services.
