Capacity Project Begins New Work to Strengthen HIV Training in Caribbean Print

The Capacity Project has begun working to strengthen the capacity of the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Regional Training (CHART) Network to conduct rapid training needs assessments for health service providers for HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean region.

In October, Project consultant Dr. Peter Johnson traveled to Jamaica to work with the CHART Network Regional Coordinating Unit as a first step toward developing a rapid training needs assessment tool.

Looking ahead, the tool will be used to assess training needs and inform decision-making on training for HIV throughout the CHART Network. The Project plans to build the Network’s capacity to conduct rapid training needs assessments and use the data to develop its training strategy, activities and business plan.
