Secondary Posts Offer Family Planning Methods to Clients of Faith-Based Clinics in Rwanda Print

To increase access to modern family planning (FP) methods, the Capacity Project is working with faith-based organizations (FBOs) to implement a strategy to provide the methods in secondary posts near FBO clinics in 11 districts in Rwanda.

FBO clinic staff counsel their clients in FP and provide the Standard Days Method, but refer clients who choose other FP methods to the secondary posts.

As of September, the Project has renovated and equipped 19 secondary posts in six districts, with 13 more on track to open by the end of the year.
