Performance Improvement Workshops Held in Central America Print

In August, the Capacity Project facilitated workshops in Belize, Guatemala and Nicaragua to review draft performance standards with Ministry of Health officers and health providers from hospitals that will deliver decentralized HIV care and treatment.

Stakeholders are rapidly embracing the performance improvement process and agreeing to move forward; this is notable because performance improvement efforts normally take a long time to be effected.

Approved performance standards will be used in baseline assessments of decentralized HIV services during the coming weeks.
