Namibian PMTCT Programs Demonstrate High Use of Family Planning Print

In Namibia, more than 90% of mothers currently enrolled in prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services at faith-based hospitals supported by the Capacity Project choose to use a family planning method.

This high figure is a testament to the impact of a series of family planning training and information sessions provided by or sponsored by the Project as well as to increased health worker motivation and commitment to professional counseling.
