Virtual Leadership Development Program Print

The Virtual Leadership Development Program (VLDP) for human resource managers is a successful program developed by Management Sciences for Health that has been delivered to more than 150 teams in 35 countries around the world. This VLDP is especially tailored for teams of human resource managers from health institutions such as Ministries of Health, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs) and private voluntary organizations (PVOs) in Anglophone Africa. The program is designed for teams of HR managers that consistently work together on a regular basis on common HR challenges and issues.

You can participate in the VLDP without leaving your organization. Dynamically facilitated by experts in leadership development, human resource management and organizational development, the 16-week program is offered via the internet on the VLDP Web platform and requires approximately four hours commitment per week for each individual participant. We enroll organization-based teams of 4-10 people in the VLDP; we do not enroll individuals. The cost is $500 per team. Please note that scholarships are available for qualifying teams.

As a result of participating in the VLDP, teams demonstrate improved teamwork, work climate and communication skills. Participants strengthen leadership skills and practices by applying these skills to identify and address a real organizational challenge in their organizations and creating an action plan to address this challenge and produce results.
