Project Completes Assessment of Tanzania’s Orphans and Vulnerable Children |

The Capacity Project completed a human resources assessment of the national program for orphans and vulnerable children in Tanzania. The resulting report provides recommendations to the Tanzania Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on building public sector human resources to implement the country’s National Plan of Action (NPA) for these children.

HRH Global Resource Center Surpasses 1,000 Resources |

To foster a global exchange of human resources for health (HRH) evidence, tools and innovation, the Capacity Project created a searchable collection of HRH resources with librarian support. Launched in May 2006, the HRH Global Resource Center now has over 1,000 resources that help health sector leaders address workforce challenges.

Capacity Project Completes Study on Uganda’s Health Workforce |

In collaboration with Uganda’s Ministry of Health (MOH), Aga Khan University, Makerere University and the University of Washington, the Capacity Project completed a nationally representative study intended to measure health worker satisfaction, motivation and intent to stay in the health field and serve the country of Uganda. The results of the “Uganda Health Workforce Retention Study: Satisfaction and Intent to Stay Among Current Health Workers†are being incorporated into Uganda’s Human Resources for Health Strategic Plan.
