The Capacity Project supports integrating the work of faith-based organizations (FBOs) into Project activities and national human resources for health (HRH) initiatives.

With Capacity Project support, 14 African Christian Health Associations (CHAs) created the Technical Working Group on HRH in 2004. Their aim was to share experiences and build a knowledge base as well as to give a voice through advocacy to the important role faith-based networks play in national health sectors.

Recently the Capacity Project compiled a report assessing the impact of CHAs in HRH and found that through the Technical Working Group, CHAs benefitted from networking with similar organizations and improved access to FBO reports and documents. The report is available on the Project’s website.
