The Capacity Project’s publication titled "Susan’s Story: Keeping Secrets and Promoting Family Planning in Rural Kenya” is featured on USAID’s website in celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8) and as part of the series Women Making a Difference in Global Health.

Nurse Susan Kajuju accepted a post at Ijara District Hospital through the Capacity Project’s Emergency Hiring Plan and has vastly increased the number of women taking family planning methods. “I have gone up to 100, sometimes 170 [women] a month,” she says, a huge jump from just five or ten when she started.
