The Capacity Project cosponsored a meeting of the Africa Christian Health Association (CHA) Technical Working Group on Human Resources in Kampala, Uganda on February 23, one day before CHA’s fourth biannual meeting.

The Project’s faith-based organization coordinator facilitated the meeting. The 28 participants included CHA representatives from 12 countries and the Global Health Workforce Alliance as well as donor organizations Cordaid, Miserior and Medicus Mundi. Participants shared experiences of forming partnerships in the health sector in order to enhance capacity and performance of CHA health services, identify critical retention strategies and foster networking for sharing information, experiences and resources.

The group assessed its accomplishments and discussed the transition of the secretariat from IMA World Health to CHA/Kenya by May 2009.
