Namibia Provides Valuable Feedback on Workforce Planning Software |
In September, the Capacity Project installed its new workforce planning and modeling software, iHRIS Plan at the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia.
Project staff conducted meetings with key stakeholders, including members of the Ministry’s HR Development Policy and Planning Division and the HRIS Stakeholder Leadership Group, to collect feedback and suggestions for improving the software.
Stakeholders identified high-priority features that should be added to the system, such as regional/district modeling, pre-service training modeling, ages of health workers and the impact of retirement, a sample strategic workforce plan and easy exporting and printing of charts and graphs. Many of these features are already in alignment with the Project’s plans for the next version of the software, slated to be released in early 2009.
