Highlighting the Rwandan government’s vision for universal health care, this event at the 35th Annual International Conference on Global Health in Washington, DC, explores strengthening the health workforce, repositioning family planning, addressing gender-related barriers to health care, decentralizing services and building community partnerships.

Hosted by IntraHealth International, lead partner of the Capacity Project, this interactive event highlights success stories and lessons learned from one organization’s efforts to support the Rwandan government’s progressive vision for better health care.
Themes will include strengthening human resources for health; improving health policy, planning and information systems; building partnerships at the community, district and national levels; decentralizing and integrating services; repositioning family planning; and assessing and addressing gender-related barriers to health care.
