From February 10-13, the Capacity Project facilitated a three-day Leadership Development Program training session in Morogoro. Participants came from the Tanzania Ministry of Health (MOH) Directorate of Human Resources, MOH Directorate of Administration and Personnel, Muhimbili Hospital and the Christian Social Services Commission.

The workshop addressed recommendations raised by the national HR management assessment in 2006 and the follow-up retreat for MOH human resources leaders.

This was the first session of a two-part program designed to enhance the implementation of the 2007-2012 national HRH strategic plan by improving management and leadership capacities of key staff. The strategic plan prioritized the roll-out of management and leadership training as a “quick win.”
