The Capacity Project in Rwanda, in conjunction with UNFPA and USAID’s Twubakane Decentralization and Health Program, concluded the third and final round of national-level training of trainers (TOT) in family planning (FP).
During September 3-25, 14 participants were educated in methods of conducting clinical trainings, counseling skills and a variety of FP techniques. With the completion of the final session, two trainers instructed by the national TOT are now located in each of the 11 districts supported by the Project.
Over the course of the three rounds, a total of 75 trainers—representing all 30 districts in Rwanda—have been equipped to train other providers, furthering the Project’s objective to expand provision of clinical FP services.
