About the HRH Action Framework

The HRH Action Framework website has been developed as an initiative of the Global Health Workforce Alliance (GHWA) and represents a collaborative effort between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Health Organization (WHO). CapacityPlus is the website administrator.

The substantive work to develop the HRH Action Framework began at a meeting in December 2005 sponsored by USAID and WHO and hosted by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). Representatives from multilateral and bilateral agencies, nongovernmental organizations and the academic community participated in the meeting and contributed to the development of this common technical framework for HRH.
